The Tansun RIO IP is a slim quartz heater that is fully IP rated for use outdoors or inside.

A bestseller, the Rio is perfect for many commercial applications - such as at restaurants, bars, and tourist attractions. It is also used on domestic patios and terraces.
Customers admire its superb build quality and long-life. Compared to traditional gas outdoor heaters, the Rio is more energy-efficient and cheaper to operate.

This model, the 1.5 kW, has a white finish and a high-quality lightweight aluminium extrusion body. Side reflectors enhance the heat output and this unit will comfortably warm an area of nine cubic metres. Die-cast heat sinks keep the Rio cool and there are louvred saftey guards for added safety.

The RIO IP is compatible with a range of Tansun brackets for use with awnings, umbrellas, and windscreens. It is also compatible with Tansun dimmers for total heat control.

The universal burning HeLeN Gold lamp can be mounted either at an angle or horizontally - so you can optimise the direction of the heat. The lamp has a long life of 5,000 hours and replacements are readily available. The quartz infra-red heat is supremely comfortable - the radiant heating works like sunshine and give warmth you can feel the instant the heaters are switched on. These heaters warm people and objects within the beam rather than the air; resulting in a pleasantly fresh rather than stuffy environment. Another benefit is the soft glow given out by the heaters - which helps create a sociable atmosphere when used in a pub or club.
