Electric Fires

Electric Fires work by bringing in cool air, heating the air internally through a coil, and slowly pushing the warmed air back out into the room through a fan. To generate the realistic looking flames, light from an LED bulb is reflected by a refractor to create the flames display. You can plug the fireplace into a socket in the wall, press a button to switch it on, and you are ready to go. There are also Electric Fires which use infrared technology to directly heat objects within the room. They can provide additional heating without the fumes or dangerous gas of Traditional Gas Fireplaces.

You can control the heating and flame effect of certain electric fires by using a remote control from the comfort of your sofa. Once you set a room to a comfortable temperature, the room-sensing thermostat feature will measure the ambient temperature and adjust the heating to eliminate uncomfortable temperature swing. This prevents inefficient fluctuation of temperature, which will save you money.

A second benefit is that Electric Fires’ heat is 100% contained through its technology, whereas Traditional Fireplaces lose 50% of their heat through chimneys and ducts. They also have zero emissions and no hazardous by-products. You will never need to pay for gas, replenish wood or clean the chimney again.
