Different fan types will have different features, so you need to decide what is most important to you. For example, a pedestal fan will typically have both horizontal and vertical oscillation along with an impressive number of speed settings (most of our fans have 12-20). However, a floor fan is more likely to have less speed settings (typically just low, medium, and high) and no oscillation – but its wide diameter means that it circulates more air for larger spaces. Tower fans provide a column of air across your room, whereas desk fans are generally more suited for personal use.
