Product Overview

This 100 mm (4″) diameter extractor fan is part of Blauberg’s “Hi-Tech” series, featuring a polished chrome face-plate that adds a modern designer finish suitable for bathrooms, en-suites or other wet rooms where aesthetics matter. According to the manufacturer the model is built with a mixed-flow impeller and anti-vibration mounts to reduce noise levels—around 26 dB(A) in typical operation.

Functionally, this fan offers a rated airflow of approximately 90 m³/hour (≈ 25 l/s) when installed in a 100 mm duct. It includes features such as an anti-backdraft shutter (to prevent unwanted reverse airflow when the fan is off) and is rated IP45—meaning it’s suitable for installation within bathroom “Zone 1” or “Zone 2” when correctly wired.

In terms of control and convenience, the “S” suffix version (the pull-cord variant) means that the fan is activated via a built-in pull-cord switch rather than solely by light or timer. This makes it a simple retrofit option if you wish to control extraction independently of lighting. It maintains an A+ energy efficiency rating, and comes with the reassurance of a five-year warranty from the manufacturer.
