Tower Fans operate by having the main tower component oscillate over a fixed base back and forth. Air enters through a small inlet at the side of the fan casing. The cylindrical container inside of the casing spins, allowing the contained blades to push the air towards the air vents. The air then exits the fan vertically.
A benefit of Tower Fans is that they are energy efficient. They have a timer feature, which allows you to set a time for when you want it to automatically switch off.
