Product Overview

This unit is a remote Safety Extra Low Voltage (SELV) transformer designed specifically for powering 12 V low-voltage extractor fans in bathrooms or wet zones. It has a 220-240 V input and supplies 12 V AC output (25 VA for T12 version) for compatible fans. The casing is made from high-gloss ABS thermoplastic, offering impact resistance and durability — suitable for installation out of reach of the shower or bath zone.

What makes this model stand out is its built-in humidistat plus a pull-cord override switch. The humidistat is adjustable between about 40 % and 95 % relative humidity, enabling the fan to activate automatically when humidity rises above the set threshold. In addition, the pull-cord override allows manual fan control without requiring a switched live feed — giving flexibility in rooms where the light switch or other wiring may not be used.

From an installation perspective, the transformer must be mounted outside the splash area of the bath or shower (e.g., high on the wall or ceiling), and must be used in accordance with zone regulations for bathrooms (Zone 1, etc.). It is double-insulated (no earth required) and should be wired via a suitable fused isolating switch (fuse not exceeding 3 A) in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
