Product Overview

The Vent-Axia Lo-Carbon Centra T (473825) is a decentralised mechanical extract ventilation (dMEV) fan designed for continuous operation in bathrooms, toilets, kitchens, and utility spaces. It runs continuously at a low “trickle” flow to maintain basic ventilation and is capable of being boosted to a higher speed via a switched-live input. When boosted, it has an adjustable over-run timer (5 to 30 minutes) to continue extraction after demand falls.

In operation, it provides three airflow rates (typically 6, 9, and 15 L/s) with very low power consumption — for example about 2.4 W at maximum boost — and impressively low noise levels (as quiet as 10.8 dB(A) at the trickle speed) to maintain a discreet presence. Its IPX4 rating ensures it is suitable for installation in bathroom zones, and it can be mounted in walls, ceilings, panels, or windows (with the proper kit) to suit different installation constraints.

From a regulatory and performance perspective, the model complies with Building Regulations Approved Document F for continuous mechanical extract ventilation and is SAP Appendix Q eligible, owing to its low specific fan power (SFP) design. It features a pressure detection device that helps maintain consistent airflow even under varying external conditions, and it is backed by a 5-year motor guarantee.
