Product Overview

The Vent-Axia Lo-Carbon Centra SELV T is a decentralised mechanical extract ventilation (dMEV) fan designed for continuous operation in bathrooms, en-suites, wet rooms or utility areas. As a SELV (safety extra low voltage) model, it includes a remote low-voltage transformer so the fan itself can be safely installed within Zone 1 (i.e. near showers or baths), while the transformer is placed out of reach of water spray.

In normal operation the fan runs at a very low trickle flow (silent or near-silent), and can switch to a higher “boost” speed when triggered (e.g. by a light switch). It includes an adjustable overrun timer (typically 5–30 minutes) so that after the boost request ends, extraction continues for a set period to remove lingering moisture.

Performance figures for the 443175 model show airflow rates of 6 L/s, 9 L/s, and 15 L/s, with sound levels of approximately 10.8 dB(A) (trickle), 15.5 dB(A) (higher trickle) and 25.2 dB(A) (boost) measured at 3 m. Its IP rating is IPX7, making it suitable for installation in wet areas, and it carries a 5-year motor guarantee.
