The MeacoCool Pro Series MC12000RPRO offers powerful, reliable air conditioning with the convenience of remote control via the Meaco App. Whether you’re cooling a bedroom, office, or living space, this smart portable unit provides flexible performance for rooms up to 30m² with an airflow of up to 410m³/hour. With 12,000 BTU cooling capacity and an A energy rating, it delivers efficient performance at a running cost of approximately 37p per hour.

Four modes for comfort through the seasons

The MC12000RPRO features four operating modes — Cool, Fan, Dry, and Sleep — making it ideal for summer heatwaves, humid environments, and general air circulation. It’s also equipped with a 1–24 hour timer so you can schedule operation around your day. Noise levels range from 51 to 53 decibels, depending on the mode selected, and the Sleep Mode helps make night-time operation less intrusive by lowering fan speed and dimming the display.

Smart features and solid performance

With a cooling power consumption of 1337 watts and moisture removal capacity of 1.6 litres/hour, the MC12000RPRO helps improve indoor comfort while maintaining energy efficiency. While it does not include a child lock, it does come with a remote control, integrated castors for easy mobility, and is backed by a 3-year warranty for peace of mind.

Quick and adaptable setup with dual window kits

This model includes both a standard window kit (combined length: 170 cm) and a flexible window kit (up to 39 cm wide and 4 m long), so you can set up the exhaust wherever it works best — whether on sash windows or sliding doors. Both kits help keep the warm air out and the cool air in, boosting the unit’s overall effectiveness.

The MC12000RPRO is compatible with the Meaco App, so you can control your indoor climate from your phone. Whether you're pre-cooling a bedroom or adjusting settings from the sofa, this smart air conditioner gives you full control at your fingertips. Will I need to duct this unit outside?

Yes, portable air conditioners require ducting outside. This is done through a hose, which is typically placed through a window. A window kit is then used to seal and gaps. Often these accessories are included, but always check the product details to see what kind of installation kit is included.

Do portable air conditioners dehumidify as well?

Portable air conditioners naturally remove moisture form the air however some have a special dehumidifying function. This means it can extract the moisture without the cooling function.

Can you use a portable air conditioner all year round?

Can I lengthen the exhaust hose?

All air conditioners come with a flexible hose that can be extended. Extending the hose beyond it’s limits (ie. adding another hose) may compromise the cooling availability of the unit. Please contact us if you need any more details.

Are portable air conditioners energy efficient?

Yes, the models we sell have been chosen for their energy efficiency. For example this Meaco 8000BTU unit will cost around 30.9p per hour, or this Devola 10000BTU will cost you around 33.4p per hour (these prices are based on the April 2024 price cap).

Can I install a portable air conditioner myself?

Yes, portable air conditioners are the only air conditioning systems that require no installation and work straight out of the box. The only requirement is to plug the unit in and vent it outside with a window kit (make sure to check whether this is included with the unit). Other air conditioners such as wall split systems can only be installed by an F-Gas certified engineer.
