With a cooling capacity of 12,000 BTU and heating capacity of 9,500 BTU, this smart portable unit ensures you stay comfortable no matter the season. It’s energy efficient too, with an A energy rating, a cooling consumption of 1337W, and heating at just 1118W, keeping running costs low — approximately 37p per hour on cooling mode.

This model includes five distinct modes: Cooling, Heating, Fan, Dry, and Sleep, allowing it to adapt to a variety of conditions throughout the year. Whether you’re cooling your home office in summer or adding a touch of warmth in autumn, the MC12000CHRPRO is ready. Operating at a minimum noise level of 51 dB, it’s easy to live with, and Sleep Mode helps further reduce sound and light disturbance overnight.
Smart control, simple setup
Control your indoor climate from your phone with the Meaco App, whether you're home or away. Set schedules using the 1–24 hour on/off timer, or make adjustments on the fly using the included remote control. Castors make the unit easy to move between rooms, while its compact dimensions (HWD: 762 x 353 x 470mm) and 30 kg weight make storage and handling manageable.
Includes two window kits for flexible installation
The MC12000CHRPRO comes with both a standard window kit (total length: 170 cm) and a flexible kit (up to 39 cm wide and 4 m long), supporting a wide variety of window types including sash and sliding windows. These kits help seal the room against warm air ingress and maximise the efficiency of the unit — no need to purchase extras.

Will I need to duct this unit outside?
Yes, portable air conditioners require ducting outside. This is done through a hose, which is typically placed through a window. A window kit is then used to seal and gaps. Often these accessories are included, but always check the product details to see what kind of installation kit is included.
Do portable air conditioners dehumidify as well?
Portable air conditioners naturally remove moisture form the air however some have a special dehumidifying function. This means it can extract the moisture without the cooling function.
Can you use a portable air conditioner all year round?

Can I lengthen the exhaust hose?
All air conditioners come with a flexible hose that can be extended. Extending the hose beyond it’s limits (ie. adding another hose) may compromise the cooling availability of the unit. Please contact us if you need any more details.
Are portable air conditioners energy efficient?
Yes, the models we sell have been chosen for their energy efficiency. For example this Meaco 8000BTU unit will cost around 30.9p per hour, or this Devola 10000BTU will cost you around 33.4p per hour (these prices are based on the April 2024 price cap).
Can I install a portable air conditioner myself?
Yes, portable air conditioners are the only air conditioning systems that require no installation and work straight out of the box. The only requirement is to plug the unit in and vent it outside with a window kit (make sure to check whether this is included with the unit). Other air conditioners such as wall split systems can only be installed by an F-Gas certified engineer.
