The MeacoCool Pro Series MC16000CHRPRO is a premium portable air conditioner and heater in one, designed to efficiently cool or warm rooms up to 40m². With a cooling capacity of 16,000 BTU and heating capacity of 11,200 BTU, it’s built for year-round comfort. Thanks to its A energy rating, it delivers this performance efficiently, with a running cost of just 46p/hour in cooling mode. For added confidence, the unit includes a 3-year warranty.

Fully compatible with the Meaco App, you can adjust temperature settings, change modes, and set timers remotely from your smartphone. With the 1–24 hour on/off timer, it’s easy to pre-condition rooms for maximum comfort while saving energy. The included remote control adds another layer of convenience, giving you control from across the room.

Portable, practical, and easy to install

Despite its power, the MC16000CHRPRO remains compact and manoeuvrable, with castor wheels and a lightweight 32.1 kg frame for easy relocation. Installation is straightforward thanks to the included window kits: a standard kit for sash windows and a flexible kit that fits a wide range of window types. These kits help seal your space, boosting energy efficiency and preventing hot air from re-entering the room.

Built for performance and reliability

With an airflow of 410m³/hour, moisture removal of 1.8 litres/hour, and eco-conscious R290 refrigerant, this unit is built to handle daily use in larger living spaces. Its compact dimensions (762 x 353 x 470 mm), 1.8m duct, and 65 cm drainage hose make setup and maintenance easy and unobtrusive.

Will I need to duct this unit outside?

Yes, portable air conditioners require ducting outside. This is done through a hose, which is typically placed through a window. A window kit is then used to seal and gaps. Often these accessories are included, but always check the product details to see what kind of installation kit is included.

Do portable air conditioners dehumidify as well?

Portable air conditioners naturally remove moisture form the air however some have a special dehumidifying function. This means it can extract the moisture without the cooling function.

Can you use a portable air conditioner all year round?

Can I lengthen the exhaust hose?

All air conditioners come with a flexible hose that can be extended. Extending the hose beyond it’s limits (ie. adding another hose) may compromise the cooling availability of the unit. Please contact us if you need any more details.

Are portable air conditioners energy efficient?

Yes, the models we sell have been chosen for their energy efficiency. For example this Meaco 8000BTU unit will cost around 30.9p per hour, or this Devola 10000BTU will cost you around 33.4p per hour (these prices are based on the April 2024 price cap).

Can I install a portable air conditioner myself?

Yes, portable air conditioners are the only air conditioning systems that require no installation and work straight out of the box. The only requirement is to plug the unit in and vent it outside with a window kit (make sure to check whether this is included with the unit). Other air conditioners such as wall split systems can only be installed by an F-Gas certified engineer.
