Product Overview
Efficient cooling for medium-sized spaces
The MeacoCool MC10000 delivers powerful and energy-conscious cooling with its 10,000 BTU capacity, making it ideal for use in rooms up to 28m², including living rooms, bedrooms, and home offices. With a strong airflow of 325m³/h and low power consumption at 1110W, it keeps your environment comfortable while running costs remain affordable — around 33.3p per hour (based on 27.03p/kWh). Backed by an impressive A energy rating, this unit ensures you enjoy effective cooling without excessive energy usage.
Custom comfort with three versatile modes
The MC10000 features three useful operating modes: Cooling, Fan-only, and Sleep Mode. Cooling mode quickly reduces room temperature on hot days, while the fan mode offers air circulation without refrigeration. Sleep Mode gradually lowers the fan speed and dims display lights for quieter operation, helping you rest undisturbed. The built-in dust filter also improves air quality by capturing airborne particles, while the dehumidifying function helps tackle excess humidity on muggy days.
Quiet operation and simple controls
Designed with a minimum noise level of just 53dB, this unit is easy to live with and well-suited to quiet spaces like bedrooms or work areas. Control is easy via the included remote or the integrated LCD display, and the 24-hour timer lets you schedule the unit to turn on or off automatically. Whether you want to cool a room before bedtime or set it to switch off while you're out, the MC10000 puts you in control.
Dual window kits for flexible installation
To improve cooling efficiency, the MeacoCool MC10000 comes with two types of window kits: a standard hard panel kit and a flexible fabric-style kit. The standard window kit is ideal for sash or sliding windows, forming a solid seal to prevent warm air from leaking in. Meanwhile, the flexible window kit works for more awkward or larger window shapes, stretching to fit and creating a barrier to retain cool air inside the room. With both kits included in the box, you won’t need to make any additional purchases — setup is straightforward, whatever your window type.
Portable, compact and easy to move
Built with portability in mind, the MC10000 is fitted with caster wheels, making it easy to move between rooms. Whether you want to cool your living space during the day or your bedroom at night, you can relocate the unit as needed. With oscillating louvres, two fan speeds, and a wide temperature range from 16°C to 32°C, the MeacoCool MC10000 gives you flexible and reliable performance all summer long.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know which BTU is right for me?
You can use our handy BTU calculator to figure this out—simply input the dimensions of your room and how many occupants or devices will be in there, and we will recommend the right air conditioner for you. Wondering what a BTU is, click here to read more.
Will I need to duct this unit outside?
Yes, portable air conditioners require ducting outside. This is done through a hose, which is typically placed through a window. A window kit is then used to seal and gaps. Often these accessories are included, but always check the product details to see what kind of installation kit is included.
Do portable air conditioners dehumidify as well?
Portable air conditioners naturally remove moisture form the air however some have a special dehumidifying function. This means it can extract the moisture without the cooling function.
Can you use a portable air conditioner all year round?
Portable air conditioners are very versatile. They can be used as dehumidifiers, fans, and some models can even heat your room! Click here to see all units with a heating function.
Can I lengthen the exhaust hose?
All air conditioners come with a flexible hose that can be extended. Extending the hose beyond it’s limits (ie. adding another hose) may compromise the cooling availability of the unit. Please contact us if you need any more details.
Are portable air conditioners energy efficient?
Yes, the models we sell have been chosen for their energy efficiency. For example this Meaco 8000BTU unit will cost around 30.9p per hour, or this Devola 10000BTU will cost you around 33.4p per hour (these prices are based on the April 2024 price cap).
Can I install a portable air conditioner myself?
Yes, portable air conditioners are the only air conditioning systems that require no installation and work straight out of the box. The only requirement is to plug the unit in and vent it outside with a window kit (make sure to check whether this is included with the unit). Other air conditioners such as wall split systems can only be installed by an F-Gas certified engineer.
I’m still not sure this is right for me, can you help?
