Product Overview
Compact, efficient cooling for smaller spaces
The MeacoCool MC7000 is a sleek and portable air conditioner designed to deliver effective cooling in rooms up to 22m². With a cooling capacity of 7,000 BTU, it’s an ideal choice for bedrooms, small living rooms, or home offices. Despite its powerful performance, the MC7000 is energy efficient, boasting an A energy rating — helping you stay cool while keeping electricity costs down. Running at just 22p per hour (based on 27.03p/kWh), it offers reliable, budget-conscious climate control all summer long.
Quiet and easy to live with
Compact doesn’t mean compromised. The MC7000 offers two fan speeds, an airflow rate of 300m³/hour, and a minimum noise level of just 53dB. It's a great option for those seeking a quieter environment while working or sleeping. It also includes a dehumidifying function, effectively removing excess moisture from the air — perfect for hot, sticky summer days.
Flexible control with built-in timer
The unit features an easy-to-read LCD display, remote control, and a 24-hour timer, letting you personalise your comfort with minimal effort. With a temperature range of 16°C to 32°C, the MC7000 gives you full control over your climate. Its oscillating louvre ensures even air distribution, so the whole room benefits from cooler, more comfortable air.
Includes two versatile window kits
To ensure the best setup for your space, the MC7000 comes complete with two types of window kits. The standard window kit is perfect for sash or sliding windows, offering a firm and adjustable panel that helps seal the opening and direct hot air outside. It's a neat, semi-permanent solution that improves overall cooling efficiency.
For greater flexibility, the unit also includes a flexible window kit, ideal for irregularly shaped or larger window openings. This soft fabric kit is easy to install and accommodates a wide range of window types. It helps prevent warm air from re-entering the room, supporting faster and more efficient cooling. With both options in the box, you can choose the best setup without needing to buy anything extra.
Portable and practical
Weighing just 21kg and equipped with smooth-gliding castors, the MeacoCool MC7000 can be easily moved from room to room. Whether you need it in the bedroom at night or the home office during the day, it’s designed to go where you need it. The included 150mm duct, dust filter, and remote control make this unit a smart, practical choice for affordable summer comfort — all while maintaining energy-conscious performance thanks to its A rating.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know which BTU is right for me?
You can use our handy BTU calculator to figure this out—simply input the dimensions of your room and how many occupants or devices will be in there, and we will recommend the right air conditioner for you. Wondering what a BTU is, click here to read more.
Will I need to duct this unit outside?
Yes, portable air conditioners require ducting outside. This is done through a hose, which is typically placed through a window. A window kit is then used to seal and gaps. Often these accessories are included, but always check the product details to see what kind of installation kit is included.
Do portable air conditioners dehumidify as well?
Portable air conditioners naturally remove moisture form the air however some have a special dehumidifying function. This means it can extract the moisture without the cooling function.
Can you use a portable air conditioner all year round?
Portable air conditioners are very versatile. They can be used as dehumidifiers, fans, and some models can even heat your room! Click here to see all units with a heating function.
Can I lengthen the exhaust hose?
All air conditioners come with a flexible hose that can be extended. Extending the hose beyond it’s limits (ie. adding another hose) may compromise the cooling availability of the unit. Please contact us if you need any more details.
Are portable air conditioners energy efficient?
Yes, the models we sell have been chosen for their energy efficiency. For example this Meaco 8000BTU unit will cost around 30.9p per hour, or this Devola 10000BTU will cost you around 33.4p per hour (these prices are based on the April 2024 price cap).
Can I install a portable air conditioner myself?
Yes, portable air conditioners are the only air conditioning systems that require no installation and work straight out of the box. The only requirement is to plug the unit in and vent it outside with a window kit (make sure to check whether this is included with the unit). Other air conditioners such as wall split systems can only be installed by an F-Gas certified engineer.
I’m still not sure this is right for me, can you help?
Buying does take some consideration, so we've put together a full air conditioning buying guide to help you make the right decision! And if you need even more information, check out all our air conditioning articles.
