The Manrose WF230A is a high-performance 230mm (9″) axial extractor fan designed for wall or window mounting in both commercial and larger domestic applications. Delivering an impressive extract rate of 668 m³/h (≈185 litres per second), it provides powerful ventilation for demanding environments. The fan features a stylish, high-impact ABS thermoplastic casing for durability and easy cleaning, making it ideal for offices, restaurants, shops, and utility areas.

What sets the WF230A apart is its automatic thermo-activated internal shutter system. These shutters remain closed when the fan is off, preventing back-draughts and maintaining a tight seal. When the fan is activated, the shutters open silently after about 45 seconds to allow full airflow. This feature helps reduce energy loss while keeping the fan’s appearance neat and professional, as the mechanism is completely hidden behind the grille.

From a technical and installation perspective, the WF230A operates on 220–240 V AC, powered by a motor with pre-oiled bearings for a long, maintenance-free life. It consumes approximately 41 W, is rated IP44, and is double-insulated, meaning no earth connection is required. For safety, the fan must be mounted at least 1.8 m above the floor and out of reach of anyone using a bath or shower.
