The type of space you want to use your fan in will impact which type of fan is best for you.

Floor fans are typically very large, meaning they are a great choice for shops and warehouses. They are like a larger version of a desk fan, but typically they have less features like speeds and oscillation. 

Ceiling fans are a classic cooling solution that are suspended from the ceiling to provide whole room cooling.
