Product Overview

This extractor fan is part of the “Calm” range and is designed for larger bathrooms, utility spaces or wet rooms needing good airflow. With a 125 mm (5″) duct size it achieves up to 187 m³/h (≈ 52 l/s) of extraction — making it effective at clearing moisture and odours quickly. Physically, it is finished in a sleek black housing and includes a mixed-flow impeller and German-engineered anti-vibration mounts to keep noise low (rated around 32 dB(A)).

What distinguishes this model from the standard versions is the integrated humidity sensor (humidistat) and a built-in run-on timer. When the ambient humidity rises above the set threshold, the fan activates automatically; after humidity drops (or the light circuit is turned off) it continues for the predetermined time to finish extraction. This automation helps ensure proper ventilation without the user having to remember to switch it on, which is particularly useful in bathrooms with showers or long duct runs.

From a compliance and installation viewpoint, the CALMBLACK125H is rated IP45 (suitable for bathroom Zones 1 & 2 when RCD-protected) and is designed to meet UK Building Regulations (Parts F & L) concerning ventilation and energy efficiency. Its German motor is backed by a five-year warranty, and the unit offers a high energy-efficiency performance, making it a reliable, quiet and relatively maintenance-free option for modern bathroom ventilation.
