The MeacoCool Pro Series MC9000CHRPRO gives you complete control of your home comfort via the Meaco App, allowing you to heat or cool any room using your smartphone. Whether you’re gearing up for a summer heatwave or taking the chill off a room in winter, this unit delivers fast, reliable performance with the convenience of remote access. It features a powerful 9000 BTU cooling capacity and 8100 BTU heating capacity, all while maintaining an A energy rating and costing just 27p per hour to run in cooling mode (based on 27.03p/kWh).
5 modes for year-round comfort
Equipped with Cooling, Heating, Fan, Dry, and Sleep modes, the MC9000CHRPRO adapts to your environment whatever the season. Its quiet operation from just 52 dB on low fan speed ensures minimal disruption whether you're working, relaxing, or sleeping. Designed for rooms up to 26m², it also features moisture removal of up to 1.2 litres per hour, helping to reduce humidity and create a more comfortable indoor climate.
Smart scheduling with quiet, night-friendly settings
Use the 1–24 hour on/off timer to schedule heating or cooling in advance, or use the Meaco App to activate the unit from your phone. Sleep Mode lowers the fan speed, dims the display, and reduces the noise level to help you rest more easily during the night. With these quiet and automated features, the MC9000CHRPRO is ideal for use in bedrooms and living areas alike.
Compact and easy to move around the home
Fitted with castors and weighing just 24kg, the MC9000CHRPRO is designed to be moved easily from room to room. It also comes with an easy-to-use remote control for added convenience. As with all MeacoCool Pro units, this model is covered by a 3-year warranty, giving you peace of mind with your purchase.
Dual window kit setup for flexible installation
Included in the box are two types of window kits: a standard kit (total 170 cm length) ideal for sash windows, and a flexible window kit (up to 4 m long, 39 cm wide) that suits a variety of window types. Both kits help seal off your room from warm or cold external air, ensuring efficient heating and cooling. If you're using the standard kit with larger openings such as sliding doors, there may be a small gap at the top, though this won’t significantly impact performance.

Will I need to duct this unit outside?
Yes, portable air conditioners require ducting outside. This is done through a hose, which is typically placed through a window. A window kit is then used to seal and gaps. Often these accessories are included, but always check the product details to see what kind of installation kit is included.
Do portable air conditioners dehumidify as well?
Portable air conditioners naturally remove moisture form the air however some have a special dehumidifying function. This means it can extract the moisture without the cooling function.
Can you use a portable air conditioner all year round?

Can I lengthen the exhaust hose?
All air conditioners come with a flexible hose that can be extended. Extending the hose beyond it’s limits (ie. adding another hose) may compromise the cooling availability of the unit. Please contact us if you need any more details.
Are portable air conditioners energy efficient?
Yes, the models we sell have been chosen for their energy efficiency. For example this Meaco 8000BTU unit will cost around 30.9p per hour, or this Devola 10000BTU will cost you around 33.4p per hour (these prices are based on the April 2024 price cap).
Can I install a portable air conditioner myself?
Yes, portable air conditioners are the only air conditioning systems that require no installation and work straight out of the box. The only requirement is to plug the unit in and vent it outside with a window kit (make sure to check whether this is included with the unit). Other air conditioners such as wall split systems can only be installed by an F-Gas certified engineer.
