Product Overview

The CALM100IR combines the sleek and high-performance design of the Blauberg Calm range with an integrated motion-activated PIR (passive infrared) sensor, making it a smart choice for bathrooms or toilets where automatic operation is preferred. With a quiet mixed-flow impeller and German-engineered anti-vibration mounts, it operates at approximately 25 dB(A), delivering an extraction rate of around 97 m³/h (27 l/s) in a 100 mm duct size.

Installation is straightforward and designed for compliance in wet zones: the unit is rated IP45 and is suitable for installation in bathroom Zones 1 & 2, provided it is connected via a residual-current device (RCD). The PIR-sensor function means the fan can switch on automatically when it detects motion (someone entering the space) and then continue running for a set period before switching off — a convenient upgrade over manual control, helping remove moisture or odours promptly and efficiently.

Energy-wise, the CALM100IR carries an A+ rating, uses a low-power (≈ 7.5 W) motor, and is backed by a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty. In short, this model offers a combination of low noise, automatic control, robust airflow and condensation/odour control — a practical and modern solution for residential bathrooms or ensuites.
