Product Overview

The Lo-Carbon Solo Plus 427484 is a centrifugal-style extractor fan with a built-in timer and PIR motion sensor. It’s part of Vent-Axia’s Lo-Carbon Solo Plus family, which is designed for through-the-wall and ducted installations in internal bathrooms, toilets, and smaller rooms. This model combines smart control (via PIR detection) with the energy-efficient operation expected of the Lo-Carbon series.

At installation, the fan can be adjusted for boost/override speed, allowing it to meet Building Regulations requirements with minimal energy use and low operating noise. The PIR sensor will detect motion and trigger the boost mode when someone enters the room, while the timer ensures it continues running long enough to clear moist air. There is also the option of a trickle (background) speed, which can be enabled to maintain a baseline airflow when the room is unoccupied.

The fan is available in a clean white finish and supports flush or surface mounting. It can be installed on a wall, ceiling, or panel, and offers flexibility with duct connections: it supports circular, rectangular, or Vent-Axia’s flat ducting. All electrical components are housed in a flame-retardant enclosure, and the device is engineered to deliver reliable performance while complying with relevant ventilation regulations.
